Apply now for a Nexus Together community grant

Funding applications for the Autumn 2018 round of the Nexus Together community giving program are open and one off grants of up to $4000 are available to local not-for-profit groups supporting positive community outcomes in health, safety, education or the environment.

Nexus Delivery Project Director Jose Antonio Sanchez said only two funding rounds remain as part of the community giving program and not-for-profit groups in close proximity to the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (TSRC) corridor are encouraged to apply.

“The third of four Nexus Together funding rounds is open and we’re looking to support local groups who are working hard to benefit our community,” Mr Sanchez said.

“We’re building a nationally significant piece of infrastructure that will not only provide a reliable and efficient alternative freight route for Australia’s transport industry, but will enhance long-term livability in the region by relieving the pressure on Toowoomba’s roads.

“We want to hear from organisations whose projects, like the TSRC, will provide far reaching benefits to the communities along the alignment, particularly those with a focus on health, safety, education or the environment.

“The Nexus Together program has allowed us to support some great projects and organisations across Toowoomba and the Lockyer Valley, and we’re excited to see what the next funding round brings.”

Applications will be accepted throughout 2018 and Nexus will evaluate sponsorship requests in May and November for the remaining funding rounds. Submissions for Autumn 2018 are due by Monday, 30 April 2018. Visit and fill out the online form.
