Community information sessions about the Second Range Crossing

TSRC Information sessions

Nexus will be hosting a number of information sessions across the Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley regions about the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (TSRC) project during November and December 2016.

The TSRC is the largest Australian Government funding commitment to a single road project in Queensland’s history. It is a 41km road bypass route to the north of Toowoomba. When finished, it will connect the Warrego Highway at Helidon Spa in the east to the Gore Highway at Athol in the west via Charlton.

Nexus Chief Executive Officer John Hagan said this is a great opportunity for the community to ask questions, look at maps and learn more about the TSRC’s progress.

“We provide regular project updates to the community through notifications, our website, Facebook and in the media,” he said.

“The community sessions offer a face-to-face opportunity for the wider community, not just directly affected landowners, to gain a better understanding of the project and the benefits to the region.

“We are expecting to see lots of people attending the sessions as the community has already demonstrated a real interest in the project.

“The sessions have been organised on Saturdays and weekday evenings, and in a variety of locations across the project to make it as easy as possible for people to attend at a time that suits them.”
