Gateway to the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing ramping up

The eastern gateway to the $1.6 billion Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (TSRC) is moving closer to completion with major changes to local and state roads being carried out this month.

Nexus Chief Executive Officer John Hagan said the Warrego Highway east interchange is one of six locations where motorists and heavy vehicles will enter and exit the 41km TSRC, with the changed traffic conditions essential to complete important construction works.

“The TSRC will benefit the community, freight industry, businesses and visitors to the region by improving freight efficiencies and road safety as well as reduce travel times and congestion on the Warrego Highway and Murphys Creek Road,” Mr Hagan said.

“The changed traffic conditions on Warrego Highway near Helidon Spa are required while Nexus starts the final stages of construction on the Warrego Highway east interchange.

“The traffic changes include reduced speed limits, single lane closures and possible intermittent hold and release traffic control.”

The changes will start early November, from 6am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday.

Nexus apologises for any inconvenience and thanks you for your patience as we complete the final stages of works on the Warrego Highway east interchange.
