Nexus Together launches local community grants

Nexus-Together-Sponsorship-Toowoomba-Second-Range-Crossing

Applications for one off grants of up to $4000 are now open to local not-for-profit groups which support positive community outcomes in health, safety, education or the environment as part of the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing’s (TSRC) Nexus Together sponsorship program.

The community giving program launched this week and Nexus encourages local not-for-profit groups located along the TSRC corridor to apply.

Nexus CEO John Hagan said the Nexus Together program recognises the link between building a safer, faster and more efficient road for the region, and supporting the groups which are also working hard to benefit the local community.

“Nexus Together is all about partnership and participation in the local community as we deliver the Second Range Crossing,” Mr Hagan said.

Nexus Project Director Jose Antonio Sanchez said that the project team is looking forward to creating a greater connection with the community in 2017 and are encouraging not-for-profit groups along the project corridor to apply via the Nexus TSRC website.

“Applications will be accepted throughout the year and Nexus will evaluate sponsorship requests in May and November for Autumn and Spring funding rounds,” Mr Sanchez said.

The cut off for the first round of funding is Sunday, 30 April 2017 and successful applicants will be contacted individually. Applications for funding can be made through the program’s online form only.
