Construction of the New England Highway arch bridges

The 70m long, 30m high New England Highway arch bridges were built using a top-down approach, which meant the structures were completed before the ground below was excavated. This bridge building methodology is just one of the innovative techniques we’re using to build the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing. Check out our video of the bridges under construction.
