Murphys Creek Road overpass
The Murphys Creek Road overpass maintains connectivity between Murphys Creek Road and the Warrego Highway.
What was involved?
Works involved constructing:
- a bridge over the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing
- permanently reconfiguring Postmans Ridge Road into two sections
- realigning the eastern side of Postmans Ridge Road to connect with Murphys Creek Road. This involves extending Postmans Ridge Road (east) approximately 1.6km adjacent to the TSRC
- cul-de-sacing the western end of Postmans Ridge Road where it meets the TSRC, enabling vehicles to turn around safely. The western side of the road will remain accessible from Murphys Creek Road.
There will be no access to or from the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing at this location. Motorists will be able to access the toll road from the Warrego Highway at Helidon Spa.
