Throwback Thursday:
One year ago today, Toowoomba traffic travelling to and from Highfields made the switch onto the new 1.1km-long realigned section of the New England Highway at Mount Kynoch and drove over the TSRC twin arch bridges for the first time.
The two parallel road bridges (one for northbound traffic, the other for southbound) were built before the earth underneath was removed, involving a number of controlled blasts.
Later this year, traffic travelling along the Warrego Highway will drive underneath the twin arch bridges as part of their journey along the TSRC.

Question for Nexus TSRC ; What is the overhead clearance on the Toll Structure? It may be an optical illusion when compared with the massive New England Highway overpass, but it doesn't look that high remembering that a lot of OVER-size loads are moved on the Warrego for mining projects west of The Great Dividing range.
It is taking to long to open
How much will the toll be and what other traffic decisions will be enforced after it’s opening. Provide some clarity and certainty for businesses please - as were all going to be greatly affected by this and deliberately withholding the answers is just reprehensible.
Is there a chance to walk the viaduct before opening?

The opening date of the TSRC is determined by construction works in the Ballard area.
Construction dates and timeframes are dictated by site conditions, construction and delivery schedules, and weather impacts. For this reason, completion dates can change.
Although we are confident the entire TSRC will be completed and open to traffic later this year, at present we cannot state the completion date.

How about getting this constitution companies go straight onto building the Qld Bruce Highway around GYMPIE and all up to Cairns IMMEDIATELY. The existing road IS NOT A Highway -- IT'S A THOROUGH DISGRACE. Give Queensland the quality Highway that NSW is building down to Newcastle. WE WANT OUR SHARE OF OUR ROAD & FUEL TAXES PAID.
How much will the toll be? Asking for a friend.... 🤣

Is there going to be street lighting across Mt Kynoch, esp lighting for fog? This area is so dark and dangerous without this atm.

Hello Nexus TSRC can you please advise how people travelling from the Westbrook/Wyreema etc area are able to SAFELY access the Athol entrance of the TSRC? It only seems to have an interchange for people travelling from the West?
For those who can't click on the link and read the article above ... This will allow Nexus to complete the TSRC and have it open to traffic later this year.
When is it going to be finished? That's all we care about ! Can you please hurry up !
