Nexus supports local kids through school-based basketball initiative

Toowoomba Mountaineers

Nexus has teamed up with the Clive Berghofer Toowoomba Mountaineers and Armstrong Auto Group Positive Choice through Basketball School Clinics to bring Lady Mountaineers pro, Estela Royo, to schools across the Darling Downs.

The clinics are designed to give local school students the opportunity to learn new skills in an environment which promotes positive choices, teamwork and an active lifestyle.

Toowoomba Second Range Crossing Project Director, Jose Antonio Sanchez said Nexus was proud to join forces with Armstrong Auto Group in supporting the local community through this school-based program.

“Educating school students on good life choices is fundamental to growing a strong, healthy and responsive community into the future,” he said.

“We’re pleased to get behind such a fantastic initiative that will undoubtedly have a positive impact on students throughout Toowoomba and the wider community.”

Nexus is also giving away a free family pass to each student who participates in a clinic to support the Mountaineers and the Toowoomba Basketball Association.

“We encourage the community to get behind the Toowoomba Mountaineers and their immense sporting talent,” Mr Sanchez continued. “Estela is a wonderful role model and we’re proud to sponsor her pro basketball career.”

Nexus is committed to making a greater connection with the local community by supporting positive lifestyle programs and through the delivery of the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing.
